About Caroline De Monaco™

About Caroline de Monaco™ Potted Rose Bush

Rosa ‘MEIpierar’ — Caroline de Monaco™
🌹 A refined Hybrid Tea rose from Meilland (France, 1988)

Caroline de Monaco™ is a graceful and elegant rose, celebrated for its creamy-white petals that unfurl to reveal timeless beauty — often with soft pink-tinged buds that open into perfectly formed classic blooms. Its large, full flowers, generous petal count, and classic high-centered form make it both a showpiece for the garden and an excellent candidate for cut-flower arrangements

💐 Plant & Flower Traits

  • 🎨 Color: Creamy white blossoms, often with buds or petal edges gently tinged in soft pink — a delicate nod to its regal namesake.

  • 🌸 Petal Count: Approximately 40–45 petals per bloom — lush, full, and sumptuous.

  • 📏 Bloom Size: ~4.5" diameter — substantial, elegant, and show-stopping.

  • 🔁 Bloom Habit: Blooms in flushes throughout the season — offering repeated displays of refined elegance.

  • 🧴 Fragrance: Light, gentle fragrance that adds a soft, classic rose note — perfect for both garden enjoyment and floral bouquets.

🌿 Growth & Garden Habits

  • 🌱 Type: Hybrid Tea

  • 📏 Mature Size: ~4 ft tall, ~3 ft spread — an upright, well-poised shrub perfect for beds, borders, and mixed plantings.

  • 🍃 Foliage: Glossy, healthy green leaves that provide a rich backdrop to the light blooms.

  • ☀️ Best Light: Full sun — to ensure best bloom form and longevity. As with many tea roses, sun exposure helps maximize its beauty and health.

🌟 Why Grace Rose Farm Loves It

Caroline de Monaco™ embodies elegance and understated charm. Its creamy blossoms and soft pink hints evoke timeless sophistication — the kind of rose that feels regal and classic while still being garden-tough enough for real landscapes. Whether used as a centerpiece in a mixed bed or cut for arrangements, it radiates refined beauty and graceful style.

🌱 Growing & Care Recommendations

  • Planting Site: Full sun is ideal. Select a spot with good airflow and soil that drains well.

  • Soil: Enriched, well-draining soil amended with compost or organic matter gives the best performance.

  • Spacing: Allow about 3 ft between plants to give space for graceful growth and air circulation.

  • Care Tips:

    • Light spring pruning to shape and remove dead or weak wood.

    • Deadhead spent blooms to encourage repeat flushes throughout the season.

    • Regular watering while establishing; once mature, maintain balanced watering and feeding for best health and bloom quality.

Before planting

Keep your rose in its pot in a sunny spot and water it well while you prepare the bed. Choose a place with at least six hours of sun and soil that drains well. Water the pot thoroughly an hour before planting.

Planting your potted rose

Dig a hole twice as wide as the pot and about as deep. Ease the rose out, loosen any circling roots and set it so the top of the root ball sits level with the ground. Backfill with garden soil mixed with compost, firm gently and water deeply.

First season watering and care

Water deeply two to three times a week through the first season, more often in hot weather, letting the top inch of soil dry between waterings. Mulch keeps the roots cool. Start feeding once new growth appears, and remove spent blooms to keep the flowers coming.

I recently bought their 1 gallon and I was so happy to receive a well sized rose with seven stems! They did a really good job growing these as the stems were pretty thick.
