I recently bought their 1 gallon and I was so happy to receive a well sized rose with seven stems! They did a really good job growing these as the stems were pretty thick.David Austin® The Cottage Rose®

Rosa ‘AUSmas’ — David Austin® Graham Thomas®
🧬 Breeder: David C. H. Austin
🌹 A world-renowned English rose with rich golden-yellow blooms, exceptional vigor, and a warm tea fragrance.
Graham Thomas® is one of the most celebrated English roses ever introduced, beloved for its clear, saturated golden-yellow blooms that seem to glow in the garden. The flowers are beautifully cupped, opening into classic rosettes with a slightly informal, natural charm. Unlike many yellow roses, this variety holds its color remarkably well, maintaining its rich tone even in bright sun. Its fragrance is a fresh tea scent with soft hints of violet, adding another layer of beauty to an already radiant rose.
🌹 Rose Type: Climber
🎨 Color: Rich, pure golden yellow
🌸 Bloom Form: Medium to large, cupped rosettes
🌼 Petal Count: Approximately 70–75 petals
🌼 Fragrance: Moderate, fresh tea fragrance with hints of violet
🔁 Flowering Habit: Repeat flowering from late spring through fall
🌿 Foliage: Glossy, mid-green foliage with excellent vigor
🌱 Growth Habit: Strong, upright shrub that can be trained as a climber
↕️ Height: Approximately 4–5 ft (up to 8–10 ft as a climber in warm climates)
↔️ Width: Approximately 4 ft
☀️ Light Requirements: Full sun for best flowering and color
🛡️ Garden Use: Borders, hedging, climbing on trellises or walls, and statement plantings
Graham Thomas® is pure sunshine in rose form. There’s something incredibly uplifting about its color—it instantly brightens the garden and pairs beautifully with everything from soft pastels to deep, moody tones. We love its versatility: grow it as a full shrub for structure or train it upward to create a glowing vertical moment. It’s also one of the most reliable and vigorous English roses, making it a favorite for both new gardeners and seasoned collectors.
Planting Site: Full sun with rich, well-drained soil
Spacing: Allow room for its vigorous growth habit
Watering: Regular watering during establishment and bloom cycles
Pruning: Prune in early spring; can be trained as a climber for added height
Maintenance: Moderate to low — strong performance and repeat blooming with proper care
Before planting
Keep your rose in its pot in a sunny spot and water it well while you prepare the bed. Choose a place with at least six hours of sun and soil that drains well. Water the pot thoroughly an hour before planting.
Planting your potted rose
Dig a hole twice as wide as the pot and about as deep. Ease the rose out, loosen any circling roots and set it so the top of the root ball sits level with the ground. Backfill with garden soil mixed with compost, firm gently and water deeply.
First season watering and care
Water deeply two to three times a week through the first season, more often in hot weather, letting the top inch of soil dry between waterings. Mulch keeps the roots cool. Start feeding once new growth appears, and remove spent blooms to keep the flowers coming.
