About Francis Meilland® Potted Rose Bush

Rosa 'MEItroni' PP 19,970  Francis Meilland®

Francis Meilland® is truly a showstopper and a beloved favorite! Its magnificent blooms, measuring an impressive 5 to 6 inches across, unfurl in delicate shades of soft blush, capturing the essence of romance. The nearly thornless stems are elegantly sturdy and adorned with glossy, dark green foliage, providing a stunning backdrop to the exquisite blooms.

Renowned among floral designers, these roses are a treasured choice for creating breathtaking bouquets. Their large, luxurious petals serve as the perfect focal point. Their remarkable hardiness ensures they look stunning and last for up to a week in arrangements.

One of Francis Meilland®'s most enchanting features is its intoxicating, rich tea rose scent, which fills the air and transforms any space into a fragrant oasis. Each bouquet brings a delightful aroma that lingers, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. We eagerly anticipate the blooming of Francis Meilland® roses, as they never fail to enchant with their beauty and fragrance!

    Before planting

Keep your rose in its pot in a sunny spot and water it well while you prepare the bed. Choose a place with at least six hours of sun and soil that drains well. Water the pot thoroughly an hour before planting.

    Planting your potted rose

Dig a hole twice as wide as the pot and about as deep. Ease the rose out, loosen any circling roots and set it so the top of the root ball sits level with the ground. Backfill with garden soil mixed with compost, firm gently and water deeply.

    First season watering and care

Water deeply two to three times a week through the first season, more often in hot weather, letting the top inch of soil dry between waterings. Mulch keeps the roots cool. Start feeding once new growth appears, and remove spent blooms to keep the flowers coming.

I recently bought their 1 gallon and I was so happy to receive a well sized rose with seven stems! They did a really good job growing these as the stems were pretty thick.
