About Golden Mustard

About Golden Mustard Potted Florist  Rose Bush 🌼

Rosa ‘Golden Mustard’ Interplant (Netherlands)

Golden Mustard is a striking florist shrub rose known for its unforgettable, tawny-toned blooms. The petals present a soft pale almond outer layer—sometimes edged faintly with blush—that deepens into rich golden and mustard hues toward the heart. Elegant yet bold, this rose is destined to become a central accent in any design or garden setting.

✨ Why We Love It

Golden Mustard captivates with its moody, elegant palette—a rare shade in the rose world. Its warm gold and amber tones, softened by creamy almond outer petals, make it a designer’s dream for earthy, transitional, or “muddy neutral” palettes. In arrangements, it pairs beautifully with greens, mauves, and dusty tones, while in the garden it shines as a statement rose. Whether used as a focal bloom or a bridging color, Golden Mustard brings both sophistication and intrigue.

Before planting

Keep your rose in its pot in a sunny spot and water it well while you prepare the bed. Choose a place with at least six hours of sun and soil that drains well. Water the pot thoroughly an hour before planting.

Planting your potted rose

Dig a hole twice as wide as the pot and about as deep. Ease the rose out, loosen any circling roots and set it so the top of the root ball sits level with the ground. Backfill with garden soil mixed with compost, firm gently and water deeply.

First season watering and care

Water deeply two to three times a week through the first season, more often in hot weather, letting the top inch of soil dry between waterings. Mulch keeps the roots cool. Start feeding once new growth appears, and remove spent blooms to keep the flowers coming.

I recently bought their 1 gallon and I was so happy to receive a well sized rose with seven stems! They did a really good job growing these as the stems were pretty thick.
