Rosa ‘Toffee’ — Toffee
🧬 Breeder: Sean McCann
🌹 A one-of-a-kind garden rose with warm caramel tones, ruffled blooms, and irresistible vintage charm.
Toffee is an extraordinary modern garden rose bred by Sean McCann, treasured for its rare warm caramel, buff, and coffee-toned blooms. Unlike traditional pinks and reds, Toffee's flowers open in a sophisticated blend of toffee, café au lait, tan, and soft apricot hues, giving every bloom an antique, heirloom quality that feels both elegant and unexpected.
The fully double, old-fashioned blooms are carried on long stems, making this variety as stunning in floral arrangements as it is in the garden. As the flowers mature, their warm tones continue to evolve, creating a beautiful range of vintage colors on a single plant. Toffee has become a favorite among floral designers and collectors for its distinctive palette and exceptional cut flower quality.

Before planting
Keep your rose in its pot in a sunny spot and water it well while you prepare the bed. Choose a place with at least six hours of sun and soil that drains well. Water the pot thoroughly an hour before planting.
Planting your potted rose
Dig a hole twice as wide as the pot and about as deep. Ease the rose out, loosen any circling roots and set it so the top of the root ball sits level with the ground. Backfill with garden soil mixed with compost, firm gently and water deeply.
First season watering and care
Water deeply two to three times a week through the first season, more often in hot weather, letting the top inch of soil dry between waterings. Mulch keeps the roots cool. Start feeding once new growth appears, and remove spent blooms to keep the flowers coming.
