Rosa ‘Ausvibrant’ PAT. PP 20,960 – Young Lycidas® Rose
Young Lycidas® is a rose of depth, drama, and old-world richness. Her large deeply cupped blooms unfold in saturated deep pink tones touched with magenta and crimson undertones, creating a velvety intensity that feels both romantic and theatrical. The densely petaled flowers gather in generous clusters, bringing weight and richness to the shrub throughout the flowering season.
Her fragrance is exceptionally strong and complex — one of the defining qualities of the variety — carrying the luxurious character of classic old roses with layers of warmth and spice. Repeating steadily through the season, Young Lycidas® combines expressive color with a substantial garden presence.
The shrub itself forms a balanced, upright structure that feels lush without becoming heavy, making it ideal for borders and mixed plantings where fragrance and emotional impact are desired.

Before planting
Keep your rose in its pot in a sunny spot and water it well while you prepare the bed. Choose a place with at least six hours of sun and soil that drains well. Water the pot thoroughly an hour before planting.
Planting your potted rose
Dig a hole twice as wide as the pot and about as deep. Ease the rose out, loosen any circling roots and set it so the top of the root ball sits level with the ground. Backfill with garden soil mixed with compost, firm gently and water deeply.
First season watering and care
Water deeply two to three times a week through the first season, more often in hot weather, letting the top inch of soil dry between waterings. Mulch keeps the roots cool. Start feeding once new growth appears, and remove spent blooms to keep the flowers coming.
